07 August: Candle for Tibet
On the eve of the Beijing Olympic's Opening Ceremony UK Tibet Support Groups will be holding a candle lit vigil outside the Chinese embassy to coincide with international vigils organised by the Candle for Tibet group.
Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm

8 August - Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony
To mark the start of the Games, the Tibetan flag will be raised outside the Chinese Embassy in London at 1.08pm, to coincide with the Opening Ceremony in Beijing. We are asking people to wear black as a sign of respect for those who have lost their lives whilst struggling for the freedom of their countries.

Flag to be raised at 1.08pm to coincide with the start of the opening ceremony.

Volunteers needed!!
For this event we are looking for 216 volunteers to represent the 216 Tibetans who have lost their lives through demonstrating in Tibet since March this year. Volunteers will each wear a gag and hold a silhouette. If you would like to be one of these volunteers please email 216@tibetsociety.com with your full name and contact details.
13 August - Silent Protest

Join a peaceful bike ride through London to show solidarity with Tibetans during the Olympics.
Gather 6pm to leave at 6.30pm.
Location: under Waterloo Bridge, by the British Film Institute. Map
To end and disperse at the Chinese Embassy in Portland Place.
Bring Tibetan flags if you have any!
Saturday, 16 August - March for Tibet
Tibet support group coalition March from Chinese Embassy to Downing street.
Time: 11am to 1pm
